Portaging to Alliyan

Hi Allian! How is school doing? Do you have friends at your new school? My school is great. Oh, how are the animals doing? Is your sister doing well? How is Kate doing? Did you know I had chickens? They are so sweet. But sometimes loud (always on Saturdays).

Our chickens make good eggs yummy. Our chickens don’t just make yummy eggs but  they also are beautiful one is white with a little bit of black on one of her feathers,one is orange with some black,and two are brown with a bit orange and black.Their names are Feather the white one, Orange the orange chicken,Texture is  the one that has been pecked at the neck, Mrs. annoying is the perfectly fine chicken. And maybe when I come I will bring one of the eggs.

I am doing great and my mom too.

For my summer vacation I went to Prague for a week because granny and grandpa lived there. After a week in Prague my dad met me at the airport so me and dad went to Venice for two weeks. Once dad and I went on a gondola and it’s just like people say and we even went to beaches. Every year in the winter Venice has a has a masked ball. The last day I got a feather pen that look’s old fashion! After I was in Venice me and my dad flow back to Prague for two weeks to my  grandpa’s and granny’s house in the countryside my cousin came to the countryside. We had a treasure hunt and a sprinkler that we ran throw and a river. After two weeks at the countryside house my dad came to pick me and drove to Berlin to my dad’s friends house for 3 days which was right next to the Berlin wall. For the first and second day we all went to lakes.   But the last day went to the great wall.And after that daddy us drove back to the countryside house for one more week and finally went to the city house for two day and everybody from my mom side came with me to USA for my mom’s wedding.

Just now I was on a canoeing four days in the wildness animals everywhere there were black bears,moose, ducks ,three bald eagle, mountain lions , bobcats,wolves,last but not least a beaver. But all I saw was ducks,three bald eagles,seagulls,and beavers. First day mom, Trevor, and I set off  from the starting point up was very long sawbill lake to the first portage which was 80 rods long (that one was very sort). Then we canoed down  a sort lake that was Ada on the other side of the small lake was another  portage which was 80 rods long too. Which went into a creek and the end of the creek was a 13 rods long but this one was very very very muddy . Next lake was swoop lake.This lake was very easy for all of us .But the portage was a long one it was 180 rods long that one was hard  especially Trevor because he had to do two trips one for bags and one for the canoe:-(.But the fun part was that we just one mile on boat and we were there in cherokee lake ! We all yelled “YUY YUY YUY were here”! Now all we needed was to find  a camp site for the four days. We were looking and looking till I said,”look it looks like theres a camp site over there”.So we paddled towards the land my mom looked and said ,”We are in business. Yes!“ I said so we unloaded the canoe put up the tent and my mom was doing dinner which was lean steak with mashed potato and vegetables that was a good meal and Trevor made a fire in the fire pit so we roasted marshmallows which was yummy. After we had food I went to sleep. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

It was morning. I stretched in bed and went out of the tent to the fire place and said ,”good morning everybody “.My mom said ,”good morning would you like breakfast now?”. I asked ,”yes please,and how long did I sleep for.” ,“till 11:00”.said my mom,”I will start food now and it’s eggs with Canadian ham and hash browns.”My mom said so she started cooking. After breakfast we loaded up the canoe set off I asked,”where should we go?”

my mom said ,”we should just explore the lake today”.,” Okay”.So we all paddled around the lake then we fond a campsite to have lunch because the wind was being crazy and lunch was a cheese quesadillas yummy.After that we got on the canoe, set back to our campsite  and then when we got to the campsite mom and I took a shower and my mom went for a nap but I cooked mac&cheese for dinner. And food was ready I woke up my mom so we could eat.After we ate together Trevor and I gave my mom her birthday present which was this.

Because we first thought we would  have left on september 8 but my mom’s birthday is september 9 .After the present Trevor and I made s’mores for my mom. After we ate all the marshmallow I went to bed.

NEXT MORNING

My mom woke me because we were going to frost lake which was the next biggest lake  closest to us. So we loaded up the canoe and set off to frost lake. And we ate breakfast which was a bar and a trail mix. That was all. When mom was done with her food she looked at the map and told us that we would be on cherokee lake for four miles  and then have a 10 rod walk (which is like one sort block long).So I went first and when mom got there and I said,” I was here five minutes ago and where is Trevor ?”,”right  behind me .”And he was behind my mom .So we packed up the canoe and  paddled down Gordon lake which was the a mile long. So when we got to the other side that another portage which was 140 rods long that one was very very long for me attest.But after the 140 we only a 40 rod one and then Trevor ,mom,and I would be at frost lake only needed to go throw Eluded lake which is a quarter of a mile and all paddled to the other so we could be at the sandy beach early so at this 40 rod one I got my bag and ran as fast as a cheetah running throw the woods so we could get there faster because now it was just around the conner and we did. It was a beautiful  sandy beach(who knew lakes could have beaches).When the beach was in site raced faster than the sailfish we so fast that could have almost made it up the sand but didn’t. But it didn’t matter because we were there ,”YUY YUY YUY”we yelled. I exclaimed ,”YUY we are here!”. Now we were all out and I was making my mom a sand carrot cake and after I was done with it I hid it somewhere where my mom wouldn’t find it and after that we all went for a birthday swim. Trevor went first he said ,”first you have to wash

your face so you get mammalian diving reflex and then run like crazy in to the water and when it’s up to your bely button you jump in now watch how I do it”.Trevor wash he’s face and ran like crazy to his bely button and jump! I said ,”Me next”.Now I washed my face then ran so fast that I kept tripping that was really  funny:-).After me it was my mom’s turn all she did was wash her face  and just bring her up and down up and down till she tripped and feel into water! If we stayed a little bit longer in the water would have been sick but I’m not:-). When we got out of the water I cold so mom rapped me in a towel and I changed after everybody changed we had lunch which was salsa, salami,bread,tortillas, and carrots. After we ate I got the sand carrot cake put a carrot and started sing ,” Happy birthday happy birthday to you happy birthday to mommy happy birthday tttoooo yyyyyyyoooooouuuuuu!.” my mom blow the candle carrot out.After mom blow the candle we all got into the canoe  and went throw  the tall water grass my mom was putting her feet out so the grass would a massage and I did to. When we turned another corner my mom saw this big rock.

First thing I said was ,”We are not taking that home.” Trevor and mom started bursting in to  laughter . Because when my mom likes a rock we have to take it home .After we circle it a fuow  times we saw a other  sand beach and there because there was a campsite  there and trevor needed to go to the bathroom. So we paddled  up and I stayed in the boat but when called me to come I went to my mom and she was pointing at the spine of a moose which looks like this it was incredible I ever seen that in my life till then. When Trevor was done we showed him it and got in to the boat to go back. We went throw the tall grass again onto land on the portage that was 40 rods and we were in the swoop lake. At the other end of swoop lake was the 140 rod one which on the way back was mach easier than there . After the 140 rod we were in Gordon lake which  only needed to go throw a ten rod and we were in cherokee lake  and we were close to the campsite when we were our campsite  my mom and I took a shower because we knew it was going the rain so my mom

boiled water fast and tea and into the bags for food then mom and I got into the tent while Trevor was doing things outside but when mom said ,”dinner is served”.Trevor came and was done for the day we ate risotto and Mexican rice and then I red 3 pages and feel a sleep.

NEXT MORNING AT 7:00 IT WAS RAINING

My mom woke me up because leaving she put me in lot of water proof clothes . when we were done.We packed up the tent and  started going towards the end of cherokee. After we arrived at the 180 rd one we got out of the canoe and started off on the long 180 rd path it wasn’t long till I go

t to the other side of the hike. And it wasn’t long till my mom came around the corner. When my mom put off her back pack she emptily started to do food for the boat (I meant to say canoe.) When Trevor came with four small bags and two huge bag but still needed to go back  for the canoe so he went back and mom and I went into the forest to see the beauty things in the forest . But before we saw a beaver dive under water.we saw like a little small forest and then went on to the beginning and saw this tree that feel over and inside it was some white natural wood pieces and then we saw Trevor with the canoe on his head and so mom and I ran as fast as possible over the roots almost sliding and in 2 seconds we were there. And seconds later canoe  head came and he set it in the water . We loaded up the canoe and paddled down a small lake which was Swoop lake if you remembered .

After we got  to the other side of the we had to get out and do a 12  muddy rd one but at lest it isn’t  a 180 muddy rd one so we set off on the path while we were waiting for Trevor to come we went to a beaver loge and stood on it that  was fun! It looked like this.

After Trevor came we got in the canoe and paddled down the lake of ada lake . By then it wasn’t raining anymore : -). And we were so close to sawbill lake we only had one little path which was the 80 easy rd one with no mud no annoying things in the way. When we got to land I got the bag and ran really fast so fast I would have beat world fastest runner! At the end I fond the perfect rock and sat down on it and rested till mom came.When I heard her say,”We are here yay”.When Trevor came the second time we set off on sawbill lake and paddled quickly so we could get there sooner.After a little while on sawbill lake we saw the dock and paddled. At the dock we unloaded the bags and toke them to the sawbill outfitters to bring back  what they gave us. When my mom was unpacking and repacking things I was inside the store sitting by the fire to warm up that was nice . After  my mom and Trevor were done packing mom said,”go pick out your journal for hebrew.”,”Okay’’I said. The journal I picked out had mouses on it . Shorty after we got the journal and returned the two bags they gave us mom,Trevor and I walked out of the shop and went to the car. Finally we got into the car and drove away. I can not have a  better time there than I had and it was all because of my incredible great amazing mom!
